WOBL-WDLW
WOBL first began broadcasting on Christmas Eve of 1971 when Harry Wilber broadcast his first words and played the first record. WOBL Radio was first heard on AM 1570 and then moved to 1320 AM in September of 1976. Most recently it began simulcasting on 107.7 FM. From day one, WOBL 1320 AM / 107.7 FM has kept its finger on the pulse of the community it serves. Over 50 years later, WOBL Radio remains one of the longest running country music stations in Ohio. The station currently broadcasts under the "Lorain County Country" banner staying loyal to yesterday's and today's Country Music.
Since November of 2002, locally owned Kool Kat WDLW has been playing the greatest rock and roll oldies from the 50s, 60s, 70s and a bit of the 80s. We are heard on 1380 AM and 98.9 FM in Lorain County and surrounding areas and on wdlwradio.com worldwide in high bitrate-high definition either streamed directly from the website or by downloading the “Gold Country Kool Kat App”. Along with the music, we feature local news, weather updates, local sports broadcasts and community news and features.
The twin stations share a headquarters at 45624 US-20, Oberlin, OH 44074.
