United Way of Greater Lorain County is excited to bring something new to the community with Comedy After Dark: Stand Up for Our Community, a night of laughter, local talent, and impact happening Saturday, January 24 at American Legion Post 30, located at 1112 W. Erie Avenue in Lorain.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with music, and the show kicks off at 8:00 p.m. The evening will feature a live DJ and a lineup of comedians led by Lorain native Ramon Rivas II, joined by Stephanie Ginese, TJ Maclin, and DJ Cassius G. With two hometown comedians on the bill, Comedy After Dark is equal parts comedy show and community homecoming.

Trixter

Pretty Boy Floyd
Hollywood’s Pretty Boy Floyd made their mark with the 1989 debut Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz and singles like “I Wanna Be with You.” After breaking up in 1994, they reunited and continue rocking with new music and live shows.

Permacrush
Led by Chris Crush, Permacrush cut its teeth on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip, opening for rock legends at The Whisky a Go Go, and continues to deliver high-energy performances.

Pat Travers
Canadian guitarist and singer Pat Travers rose to fame in the ’70s with his blues-infused hard rock and the hit “Boom Boom (Out Go the Lights).” Known for his fiery guitar work and high-energy shows, he continues to deliver powerful performances and remains a respected figure in rock and blues.

Cactus
Dubbed “The American Led Zeppelin,” Cactus shook the early ’70s with their loud, blues-driven hard rock, influencing legends like Van Halen and Joe Bonamassa. Today, Carmine Appice and crew keep the legacy alive with new albums and their signature hard-hitting sound.

We Good Records presents the first Block Session, a free community event in downtown Lorain celebrating art, music, and culture while supporting the Lorain Skatepark Project with nonprofit Peddle or Push. Enjoy a pop-up skate park, open jam sessions for skaters and BMX riders, raffles, local vendors, and a special cocktail menu at Speak of the Devil. Live performances by Will Cherry, Holographic Throne, Eliy Orcko with Abstract Sounds, and Trunk Ride will be hosted by poet Logan Wyatt Wenk. Join us for a day of creativity, connection, and community building.
